Research Grant Fund
DARE-RC HAS THE FOLLOWING OBJECTIVES
Develop a rigorous body of timely and accessible evidence on the key issues within the education service delivery in Pakistan – including getting more girls into school, studying for longer and learning better, improving teaching quality, increasing accountability, reaching out to marginalised girls and boys such as those with disabilities and from minorities and the use of technology in education.
Promote the use of this accessible research by policymakers and the government to inform policies and programming.
Build the research capacities of local academic institutions and think-tanks enabling them to produce rigorous research that can be published in peer-reviewed journals.
Research Grant Fund aims at providing opportunities and incentives for public and private academia, think tanks, research institutions, and other relevant stakeholders.
RESEARCH GRANT FUND HAS TWO COMPONENTS
Grants to carry out research studies.
Implementation research pilots to scale ups where grants will be provided for research on promising pilots, their potential effectiveness.
The selection criteria for both components are competitive and all relevant institutions will receive equal opportunities during the solicitation process. The quality of research will not be compromised.
The research grant fund will be offered through multiple call for applications. These grants will follow specific eligibility criteria.
Geographically, the research grants would be open to all four provinces, Islamabad Capital Territory and Gilgit-Baltistan.
SOLICITATION PROCESS OF RESEARCH GRANTS WILL COVER THE FOLLOWING
Reviewers will assess the process using the provided evaluation criteria, ensuring transparency, accountability, research ethics check, and value for money at every level of solicitation and implementation of the research grants.
