Mapping Education Research Produced ByPakistan-Based Scholars:Report On An Analysis Of International Databases

Summary

This report presents findings from a comprehensive mapping and review of education research outputs produced by Pakistan-based scholars between 2015 and 2024, also including the first four months of 2025. The exercise aimed to identify trends in publication focus, thematic priorities, authorship patterns, funding sources, and international collaboration. The review covered research published in international peer-reviewed journals, books, and internationally published conference proceedings, using calibrated searches on SCOPUS and Web of Science. The scope of the mapping was limited to research focusing on key levels of education—namely, pre-primary, primary, and secondary education—as well as teacher education and training.
