This mixed-methods research study aims to empirically unpack the issues of post primary transition of girls in the Chiniot district of Punjab. The research evaluates the effectiveness of a behavior-focused pilot intervention involving parents and community members addressing the high dropout rates between class 5 and class 6. It begins with an analysis of administrative data to examine transition variations, followed by the development and implementation of the intervention and concludes with an assessment of the effectiveness of the intervention. This study holds potential as a scalable, cost effective strategy for resource constrained settings and can be embedded into existing government outreach programs.
